Cheesy Caramelized Onion Dip

Who's ready for the superbowl?!

Just 1 week away you guys! Do ya'll have all your game day meal plans written out yet? no? Ok, well here's something you can add to it!

This dip is like crack. Only better.

It doesn't have all the nasty side effects, just a delicious after taste.

Just look at that cheese! All ooey and gooey, brown and bubbly. Is there anything better than hot melty cheese?

Plus since this dip is so easy to make, you can feel free to watch the game without having to slave over anything for too long! Although, once this dip is out of the oven i'm sure you'll be too distracted by it to even watch the game.

Cheesy Caramelized Onion Dip

(Recipe by Sarah Eats Austin)

Ingredients

1 tbls olive oil
1 yellow onion
1 clove garlic
1 cup mayonnaise
1 1/4 cup parmesan, divided

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until caramelized. About 15-20 minutes. Once the onions are caramelized add in the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

While the onions are cooking, mix the mayonnaise and 1 cup of the cheese in a bowl.

Once the onion and garlic is done pour the mixture into a
baking dish. Pour the mayonnaise cheese mixture over, then top with remaining 1/4 cup of cheese. Bake for 20-25 minutes, then switch oven to broil until the top is golden. Careful not to burn!

Serve with chips, bread, or whatever you like!
